Panglong Arang and Sago Refineries in Meranti Must Be Licensed

News24xx.com - Member of Commission II of the Meranti Islands Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Dedi Yuhara Lubis highlighted the presence of charcoal panglong and sago refineries operating in the Meranti Islands region not yet having a permit.

In fact, according to Dedi, with the number of charcoal panglong and sago refineries operating in the Meranti Islands can strengthen the local economy and society and efforts to increase local tax revenue.

"We want all the panglong charcoal and sago refineries that operate to have permits," he stressed, Thursday (11/14/2019).

Furthermore, Dedi hopes that every charcoal and sago refinery must pay attention to the wages and health of the workers as stipulated in the legislation in force.

"We hope that programs and activities which are still homework and have not been realized in the relevant Dinas can be realized as soon as possible. Because we see that there is still a lot of homework that needs to be completed immediately," he said.

In addition, Dedi also highlighted the Wage Council meeting which is held annually, but its implementation is only a few percent carried out in the field.

"We want the implementation of the wage council's decision to be carried out properly," he concluded.
