Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru Sad Madani Hospital Not Completed Medical Devices, Services Still Just Outpatient

News24xx.com - The Madani Hospital (RS) managed by the Pekanbaru City Government on Jalan Garuda Sakti, Tampan District, has been operating since last year. Unfortunately, this hospital cannot be operated because it does not yet have medical equipment.

"At present, we already have a hospital on Jalan Garuda Sakti. It is sad for me to talk about this hospital because it only serves outpatient care," said Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru Ayat Cahyadi, Saturday (11/16/2019).

Madani Hospital services are comparable to 23 puskesmas. The reason is, all puskesmas can already serve inpatients.

"In essence, there are no funds. Because if you want to be an inpatient hospital, you need medical equipment. The price is expensive," Ayat said.
 
Other income does not exist for Pekanbaru City Government apart from taxes. Because natural resources do not exist in Pekanbaru.

A different opportunity, the Acting Head of the Pekanbaru City Health Office, Muhammad Amin, said that the Madani Hospital building in the back was almost complete. Furthermore, the Grand Opening will be held in 2020.

"The mayor has made it clear that the service value has already received A-, not B- again. Our medical personnel are quite there," he said.

The rooms in the hospital are under construction. Patient beds are available.

"But, hospitalization cannot be done yet. Because, we must first Grand Opening," said Amin.

Actually, there are three more steps that must be passed by Madani Hospital, namely accreditation, the management system used as a Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD), and in collaboration with BPJS Health. With this collaboration, the burden of Pekanbaru's regional budget will be light.

"The level of patient visits is already high. But it cannot be hospitalized," Amin said.
