News24xx.com - The death body of a baby Muhammad Khalif Putra was detained at the hospital because his parents had not yet paid for treatment. The case became viral on social media.

Based on information obtained, Khalif Putra's baby died at 09.00 am. His parents managed to arrange for the hospital's management to allow them to bring the body home so they could be buried immediately. However, the hospital still asked the family to pay off the bill in the amount of approximately IDR 25 million.

The online motorcycle taxi team was furious with the hospital, and they forcibly took the baby's body.

The wife of Padang Mayor Harneli Bahar took action to facilitate the repayment of arrears of Khalif's treatment.

Harneli said he was informed of the body of a baby being held at the Central Djakarta General Hospital (RSUP) M Djamil Padang because his parents had not been able to pay the medical arrears of IDR 24 million. As Chairman of the Padang City Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP-PKK), She sought to find out the truth of the information.

It turns out that the information is correct. Harneli immediately contacted the Padang Amil Zakat National Board (Baznaz) and the Managing Director of M Djamil Padang Hospital.

"Indeed, when I got the information I immediately called Baznas to be able to provide assistance and Baznas wanted to help as much as IDR 10 million. Shortages will be sought again, "said Harneli, Tuesday (19 November 2019).

After that, Harneli contacted the Director of RSUP M. Djamil, Harneli asked for relief for the family. So that, the care cost of the baby Khalif who previously suffered from lymph node pain, can be reduced. His parents can get more time to find the shortcomings.

After arriving at the funeral home, Khalif's body was captured in the mosque, then he was buried in the TPU area of ??Seberang Palinggam, Padang Selatan District, Padang City. The funeral procession was just finished around 3:30 p.m. earlier.

On the other hand, M Djamil Padang General Hospital denied that they were holding back the return of baby Khalif Putra because of cost issues. "What was mentioned was not true, because in fact the problem was administration, not money administration," said Information and Documentation Management Officer M. Djamil Padang Hospital Gustianof.

Gustianof said, the administrative process needs to be done as a mechanism and accountability for the hospital. It is also as a form of protection for the rights of patients.

For the Khalif issue, he said, the cost to be paid is around IDR24 million. Because the patient with lymph is not covered by the Health Insurance Organizing Agency (BPJS). Because of that, administration needs to be done so that patients who are unable to pay can be taken care of a guarantee letter.
