Students of UIN Suska Riau Hold Photo Exhibition: Art Literacy in Photography Lenses

PEKANBARU - Communication Student of the State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Syarif Kasim (Suska) Riau held a photo exhibition. The event took place in the Theater Place of the Da'wah and Communication Faculty (FDIK), Monday, 9 December 2019.

The activity that was held by the third semester students, the concentration of Public Relations raised the theme of Art Literacy in Photography Lenses.

Rizky Muhammad Ilham as the head of the committee said, this event was not only to fulfill the final task of photography courses, but this exhibition was aimed at accommodating the work of students so that their work could be enjoyed.

"This is the final project completed in one month in the Photography class in 2018, as many as 141 students divided into four classes at UIN Suska," he said.

"This activity also aims to facilitate the work of students so that their work can be enjoyed. The event starts Monday, December 9 until December 13, 2019. Finally, the following Monday, December 16, 2019, we plan to display these photos on public transportation, namely 4 or 5 bus Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) buses, "he said.

Rizky further said, specifically on the TMT Bus this exhibition will begin at 6:00 to 18:00 WIB "For the date 16 we only display all day from morning to evening. About 15 photos for one bus. God willing, hopefully there are no obstacles, "he hoped.

Representing friends, said Rizky, he expressed his gratitude to all those who have participated and supported this activity, such as FDIK,  Riau Bank, and Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency and media friends.

Hari Jummaulana M.I.Kom as a lecturer in Photography revealed that, besides aiming to fulfill the final semester semester photography course, this exhibition also aims to develop photography courses so that the theories being taught can be put into practice.

"The main objective is clear for UAS, the second one is also a development of the Photography course itself, so I am trying so that theories can be put into practice with exhibitions like this," he said. ***
