News24xx.com - PT Bank Permata Tbk (PermataBank) has officially launched the latest Islamic property financing product. The KPR with the mutanaqisah musyakarah agreement (MMQ) was named PermataKPR iB Bijak.

Shariah Banking Director of PermataBank Herwin Bustaman said, the latest mortgage products were launched to answer the demand for sharia-based property loans that continue to increase.

"We see an increase in demand from the public, especially among millennials who want to have a dream home or invest in a house or apartment," Herwin said in Jakarta, Monday (23 December 2019).

PermataBank's Head of Mortgage Business Dewi Damajanti Widjaja assessed that the property industry this year was quite positive. He believes his prospects will continue to improve in 2020.

"For property itself, the sales trend is good in 2019. This is based on my observations of several developers in Indonesia. Therefore, we are quite optimistic that the property market in Indonesia in 2020 will be better," he said.

Although the portion of Islamic KPR is still minimal, Herwin sees that the interest of the community is quite high. Until October 2019, he said, the Islamic KPR market share was around 6 percent.

"In addition, we also see that many millennials are interested in sharia principles to manage their money," Herwin said.

Just like other PermataBank syariah mortgages, PermataKPR iB Bijak offers various facilities, such as lighter installments, a tenor of up to 25 years, and a short approval period of 5 working days.

"It is hoped that the community, especially millennial can have their dream home. In addition, we want to give more options to the public that the sharia way we can (accommodate)," said Herwin.
