News24xx.com - Activist Ratna Sarumpaet was found to be on parole on Thursday (27 December 2019).

Out of the Pondok Bambu Penitentiary, East Jakarta, he went straight to his home in Bukit Duri, South Jakarta.

Ratna told me about her life in prison.

Including acknowledging that he was wrongly entered politics in the 2019 Presidential Election, by being in the Prabowo-Sandiaga camp.

"Maybe that was wrong yesterday, I entered Pak Prabowo's team, yes. Wrong in my quotation mark. I realized that," she said at his residence on Thursday (26 December 2019).

As a social activist, Ratna said what she did was not political.

She actually did the opposite.

So that, after being free, she was determined to be herself as attributions attached to her.

"Yes as an activist has become my character. So it cannot be changed," she concluded.

The Ratna Sarumpaet case started with the spread of a photo of her swollen face.

He was also sanctioned by Article 14 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations and Article 28 Paragraph (2) juncto Article 45 A Paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).

After serving a sentence of around 15 months, and getting remission during Eid al-Fitr and August 17, she was given a parole.
