Raped for one month by her friend, a girl escape with swimming in the lake

News24xx.com -  Police say that a 15-year-old girl escaped three men who raped and tortured her for a month by swimming across a lake.

The story begin when a friend asked her to help and come to his home in Alexandria, Minnesota. But suddenly, her friend has kidnapped her as soon as she entered his car. She was driven to his home where he zip-tied her and invited two other friends over.

During her capture she was taken to a number of locations including a corn field and an abandoned property.

From the reports the Voice of Alexandria, they threatened her with weapons if she refused to meet their demands.

Weeks after her capture, the friends all went out for lunch and left her alone for the first time in 29 days. She managed to break free and ran from door-to-door in search of help. She eventually swam across a portion of Thomson Lake to a residential area where she found a man and asked him to call 911.

It is then that she spotted a vehicle being driven by one of her attackers. She managed to identify the vehicle to police.

Thomas Barker, 32, of Carlos, Steven Powers, 20, of Mankato and Joshua Holby, 31, of Carlos, were all arrested on suspicion of with kidnapping and assault.

Alexandria Police chief Rick Wyffels praised the actions of the girl.

‘She’s an amazing woman with a lot of strength. And the victim is now safe with her mother.’
