UIR Officially Has Doctorate in Law Doctoral Program

PEKANBARU - Good news for the UIR Academic Community and the wider community. In early 2020, the Riau Islamic University has obtained a permit to open a Law Study Program at the Riau Islamic University Doctoral Program organized by the Riau Islamic Education Foundation (YLPI).

The certainty of the issuance of the S3 permit was conveyed by the Rector Prof. Dr. H Syafrinaldi, SH, MCL after receiving a letter from the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 29 / m / 2020 dated January 8, 2020 signed by Secretary General Ainun Na'im.

In the presence of Deputy Rector I Dr. H. Syafhendry, MSi, Deputy Rector II Dr. Ir Asrol MEc, Deputy Rector III Ir Rosyadi, Bureau Heads and other structural officials in the Rector's Building, the Rector with tears in his eyes conveyed the emotion of the issuance of the Minister of Education and Culture Decree. '' In the morning I received a call from Prof. Yusri Munaf who cried with gratitude for our hard work together. Now it is my turn to be unable to say anything except deep gratitude for our dreams so far, '' said the Chancellor in a stuttering voice while taking a tissue wiping tears of emotion, Wednesday morning (1/15 2020).

The Chancellor said that the issuance of the Minister of Education's Decree was a gift and achievement of all UIR academic community. This program we have longed for. The key is when the Ministry's visitation team visited UIR a few months ago for administrative and factual verification. "Alhamdulillah, today we received a permit to open a doctoral study program," said the Chancellor.

The Doctoral Law Study Program, according to the Rector, which will be opened at Riau Islamic University is the first for private universities on the island of Sumatra. The Chancellor did not forget to thank the S3 visitation team who for months worked preparing the visitation forms.

Emotion and pride also emanated from the face of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. H Syafhendry. With tears in his eyes, the man born in Bengkalis hopes that the doctoral program in law will open the door for other study programs to open the same program.
