Based on the investigation, the motive for the murder was alleged because the perpetrator was annoyed and accused his wife of selling the car without his knowledge. The money from the sale of the car was also allegedly not handed over to the perpetrators.

While the family of the victim, Syarifuddin denied the victim sold the perpetrator's car. "The car was not sold, but it was confiscated by the leasing party because it did not pay a monthly fee," he said.
