UIR Reopens Registration for Mathematics Olympiad for Junior and Senior High Schools in Riau

PEKANBARU - The success of holding Mathematics Olympiad III at the junior and senior high level in Riau, now the Mathematics Education Student Association (HIMATIKA) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Riau Islamic University (UIR) once again holds the Math Olympiad for the fourth time.

The Mathematics Olympiad IV has the theme "Exploring Mathematics with Achievement Actions to Realize Superior and Quality Generations". The committee summoned all junior and senior high school students in Riau Province to hone their abilities in the field of mathematics and at the same time compete to be number 1 among the other students.

The campus is very supportive of the Olympics. The Head of the Mathematics Education study program, Leo Adhar Effendi, M.Pd, said that the lecturers always supported the activities carried out by their students. "Me and the lecturers here are very supportive of the activities held by HIMATIKA, especially activities that benefit the community, especially in the field of education," he said.

In addition to the Written Competency Examination (UKT), in the IV Mathematics Olympiad UIR will also hold several other competitions which are certainly no less challenging than UKT. The competition included, Intelligent Careful, Ranking 1, Calculate Exactly Fast, Props, and Essays. The contested prizes are also very interesting, namely the Rotating Cup and Cash.

The Mathematical Olympiad IV will be held in March 02-04 March 2020 and the registration date will be from February 3 to February 27, 2020. Specifically for the Essay Contest, registration will be closed on February 20, 2020. Students who wish to register can register fill out the form that has been sent to the school and come to the registration booth at the UIR Roundabout or can also send it via HIMATIKA UIR email ([email protected]).

Regarding the registration fee, the UIR IV Math Olympiad committee provides a fee for schools that register 1 team for each race. The school will get a 50% discount on the first 5 registrants and a further cut will be 30%.
