PELALAWAN - The stench, which is smelled in rainy day by the residents of Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan Regency, Riau, has been very disturbing. Every day, up to 3 times the residents' nose, must smell the pungent odor.

"That's right, the sting smell. Moreover, after or before it rains, or on a cloudy day, it smells bad," Rudialis, a resident of Pangkalan Kerinci, told Riau24 on Sunday (03/02/2020).

According to Rudi, this foul odor grew stinging and nose-stinging, after the company that manages textiles began operating. Plus the paper factory had already caused a pungent odor.

"The company is the source of this odor. Especially after the new factory is operating, the smell is very foul sting," said Rudi.

Unfortunately Rudi said, not many Pangkalan Kerinci residents were not really care about this condition. For example, together asking the two companies to eliminate the odor.
