Tragic; Having Expectation to Look Beautiful, This Hong Kong Woman Died After Liposuction Surgery

News24xx.com - A 35-year-old Hong Kong woman died after experiencing a coma while undergoing liposuction procedures at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul, South Korea.

Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed that the woman initially went into a coma during cosmetic surgery.

The detectives responsible for this medical accident were also busy revealing the case of the death of a woman during liposuction surgery. Postmortem examination will be conducted early next week to determine the cause of death.

According to Dr. Ho Chiu Ming, Hong Kong's plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon, coma during liposuction is considered a relatively low-risk medical procedure. This is usually due to complications related to anesthesia.

"This may involve allergic reactions or excessive doses of drugs used in anesthesia, causing patients to stop breathing or cause heart problems," he said.

"If something goes wrong in the liposuction procedure, complications usually appear within hours or days after surgery," he added.

Dr. Ho Chiu Ming also warned patients to communicate with the plastic surgeon of their choice before continuing the operation.
