The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Riau Province make a fundraise for Rohingya refugees

News24xx.com -  In response to recent conflicts in Myanmar that resulted in violence and displacement to some countries against of Muslims Rohingya, all working units in the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Riau Province are called upon to raise humanitarian and development funds for the people of Rohingya.

This was revealed by the Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) Kemenag Riau Drs.H.Ahmad Supardi, MA on Tuesday 12 September 2017.

"The funds will be collected in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Riau Province, at the latest we receive on 15 September 2017 Friday ahead," he said.

He said too, this spontaneous fundraising was done simultaneously through a circular of the Ministry of Religious Affairs regional of Riau.

He really expects the contribution and real concern from the entire work unit.

"We are very sorry about the conditions that happened with our fellow Muslims in Rohingya, it is fitting for us to go down to provide assistance and alleviate their suffering," said Ahmad Supardi.

According to him the incoming aid is not too big.

"The aid will be distributed through third parties in the central Ministry of Religion or central of Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) or even to a humanitarian agency that is actively channeling relief funds to Rohingya," he said.
