News24xx.com -  Michael van der Mark is not a widely known in the world of MotoGP. He was appointed by Yamaha as a substitute racers while Valentino Rossi injured.

Because Rossi ensured to be absent at the Aragon MotoGP, Yamaha already pointed substituted racers to become Maverick Viñales tandem. Appointed to riding the Yamaha YZR-M1 is Michael van der Mark.

Who is he?

Michael van der Mark was born October 26, 1992 (24 years old). He is currently ride in the Superbike World Championship for Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team.


Up to nine races that have already traveled this season, Van der Mark is still sitting in seven positions. He hasn't even get any victory, with his best result a fourth place finish.

Rider origin Netherlands started his career in the Grand Prix series. He recorded three seasons performing in the 125cc class (2008 to 2010) and up to the Moto2 class in 2011.


He continued to the Supersport World Championship from 2012 until 2014. While participation in the Superbike starts on 2015 alongside Honda.


"I enthusiastically got a chance driving a YZR-M1 MotoGP series in Aragon. I haven't been riding my motorcycle MotoGP before, so this will be an experience that is completely new to me,"said van der Mark quoted from Crash.


"I wonder how it feels to look forward to driving the machine. I realized it wouldn't be easy to go directly down at practice sessions without any tests first. However, I am grateful on a Yamaha on the occasion. I am sure this will be a great learning experience," he continued.
