Head of the Transportation Department (Dishub) of Pekanbaru City, Yuliarso told reporters on Tuesday (2/18/2020) said that one of Dishub's efforts to suppress PJU bills was by metering and replacing bulbs with Energy Saving Lights (LHE).

"The metering of PJUs and the replacement of a bulb with energy saving lamps is proven to be able to suppress the PJU bill in January this year," he said.

Yuliarso added further, with the effort the Pekanbaru City Government had saved a budget of around 40 percent. As is known PJU bills which previously reached IDR 12 billion, currently has reached IDR 7 billion. That is, Pekanbaru City Government has saved around Rp. 5 billion.

"Our target is up to IDR 6 to 5 billion for this year's PJU bill, hopefully in March it can be achieved," he hoped.

For information, at this time the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency has built 500 PJU panels in Pekanbaru City. The panel has accommodated 12 thousand PJU. Meanwhile, the remaining 15,000 PJUs remain unmetered.
