This was conveyed by Area Manager of the Malacca Strait SA EMP, Bonar Ari Nindito, when giving a speech at the opening of the Journalism Training in Upstream Oil and Gas Industry in close proximity to the IV Conference of the Meranti Islands PWI in Selatpanjang, Thursday, (2/20/2020).

Also present were the Secretary of the Meranti Islands, Bambang Suprianto SE MM, the Head of the Meranti Islands Police, AKBP Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat SIK MH, PWI Riau Secretary Amril Jambak, Representative of SKK Migas Sumbagut, Arilda Septania, Chair of the Meranti Islands PWI Ahmad Yuliar SIKom and elements of the Meranti Archipelago PWI.

"The presence of the upstream oil and gas industry is inseparable from the positive participation of our stakeholders such as local governments, security forces, the wider community and includes the role of the media as partners of EMP Malacca Strait SA, which so far has made many positive contributions by giving positive and balanced reporting, "said Bonar.

At present, Bonar added, EMP Malacca Strait SA, is conducting various activities in the Meranti Islands Regency such as seismic activities, land acquisition for drilling locations and pipelines, drilling activities and construction of oil and gas production facilities.
