BENGKALIS- With the arrival of seven units of the PLN (Diesel Power Plant) engine, the PLTD located in Pangkalan Batang felt relieved. Because of the 7 engine units, PLN will increase the power of 3 MW.

The seven machines were there due to to the proposal from Bengkalis Regency Government to PLN, then PT Bima Golden Powerindo and PT Mega Power brought in Bagan Siapi Api.

PLN Manpower Hasdedy accompanied by the renamed PLTD Iwan Eka Putra said that PLN Bengkalis had arrived as many as 7 units of the new generator engine that were imported from Bagan Siapi Api with a total engine capacity of 3 MW.

According to Hasdedy, for the current condition, outside the new engine coming, a capable power of 20 MW. With the arrival of this machine, PLN will be able to increase its power to 23 MW. Whereas, for the current peak load, 20.5 KW.

"So, so far we have a power deficit of around 600 KW. Depending on weather conditions or usage in the community itself. Therefore, we, with a power shortage of 3500 KW, it is better for us from PLN to turn off the PJU lights when there is a peak load. Hasdedy stated, the arrival of the PLN machine was also thanks to the support and support from Bengkalis Regency Government. So that this machine will come quickly for additional power, "Hopefully ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr the electricity supply on Bengkalis island itself can be fulfilled," he said again.

Meanwhile, PLTD Minister Iwan Eka Putra said that, for investors who intend to run or make businesses on the island of Bengkalis by needing electricity, PLN is preparing to electrify, supply where there is a large amount of electricity needed. "For the target of working on the installation of this machine itself, it is targeted that by the end of March it will be operational," said Iwan.

Still Iwan said, the arrival of 7 units with 3 MW of power from two Pendors namely PT Mega Power and PT Bima Golden Powerindo.
