The video was watched millions of times and prompted US comedian Brad Williams to start the GoFundMe page which eventually raised nearly US $ 475,000.

Although the funds were intended to send Bayles and his mother to Disneyland, his aunt told NITV News Australia that the money would be used for charity.

"Which kid does not want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived the life of Quaden. To escape to any pleasant place that does not remind him of his daily challenges," he was quoted as saying.

"But my brother said 'you know what, let's get back to the real problem'. This boy has been intimidated. How many people have decided to commit suicide because they have been bullied."

"We want the money to be given to community organizations that really need it. They know how much money needs to be spent, so even though we want to go to Disneyland, I think other communities will benefit far from it."

Australian actor Hugh Jackman and NBA player Enes Kanter were among hundreds of thousands who posted support for Bayles.
