Slammed by a Wave, Romi Was Lost for 4 Days, Found in a State of Remorse

News24xx.com - After sinking, Romi (40), a resident of Batukaras Hamlet, disappeared since last Monday (23 March). Romi, who is a resident of Batukaras Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency was finally found 4 days later in a lifeless condition.

Romi's body was found by Dadi, a fisherman floating in the waters of Legok Jawa, Cimerak District, Pangandaran Regency about 8 KM from the starting point of the sinking location.

The combined SAR team who got the information went straight to the location to evacuate the victims. His body was immediately evacuated ashore and handed over to his family.

The body of the victim who was in a pathetic condition was immediately buried by the family.

Previously the victim reportedly drowned off the coast of Batukaras. According to eyewitness accounts, when he put his net down, Romi was hit by strong waves so that they bounced and sank.

"The victim while at sea alone then came strong waves and sank," said Nana Ruhena, Head of BPBD

Nana continued, the victim had screamed for help but the source of the sound was unclear. Besides the limited visibility conditions because it is still dark and cloudy weather. "It is known that the boat is empty. It is estimated that the victim has drowned," Nana said.
