PEKANBARU - The spread of Corona Virus or Covid-19, made the entire agenda of the Pekanbaru City Council which had been scheduled in March 2020 by having to be canceled or temporarily postponed.

"The agenda in the Council has been determined through a meeting of the Deliberation Board (Banmus) including this month. However, according to the instructions of the President, Governor and Mayor who do not allow events or activities that involve many people, we temporarily cancel or postpone until there are instructions from the leadership of the DPRD or the Pemko Pekanbaru, "said Acting Secretariat of (Sekwan) Pekanbaru City Council, Zulfahmi Adrian, Saturday (3/28/2020).

Supposedly, Pekanbaru City Council has several big agendas that this month must be carried out. One of them is that on March 30, the Pekanbaru Council will hold a Plenary Meeting related to the ratification of several Regional Regulation Drafts (Ranperda).

"Then the submission of Work Report Responsibility (LKPJ) Pekanbaru City Government will also be held on March 30. This is all we postponed to support the instructions that have been issued," he explained.

Although some major agendas were canceled, the Pekanbaru City Council still carried out several agendas such as small scale meetings that did not involve many people.

Besides that, related to office activities in Pekanbaru Council, Zul explained that in accordance with instructions from the Mayor of Pekanbaru, echelon officials in the Pekanbaru Council secretariat come to work every day as usual.

"Staff employees and also Daily Relief Workers (THL) are divided into shifts, which are one day of entry and one day off, but they must remain monitored and also cellphones must be active if something needs to be done, communication can be done immediately," he concluded. (R24 / put)
