Until Friday 3 April 2020 this afternoon, positive victims of contracting the Corona virus in West Sumatra Province continued to grow. So far, the total has reached 14 people. This was stated by Deputy Governor of West Sumatra, Nasrul Abi through a video conference with West Sumatra IJTI through the Zoom application.

"The positive results so far have been 14 people. Today another one is added based on the results of tests in the laboratory of the Faculty of Medical,  Unand," he said.

Data from People in Monitoring (ODP) in West Sumatra, currently there are 3,276 people. A total of 2,043 ODP people are still being monitored and 1,233 ODP people have been monitored.

Back to Corona's positive cases, out of a total of 14 cases, nine people were still isolated at the Djamil Padang Central M General Hospital and Achmad Muchtar Bukittinggi Regional General Hospital. Meanwhile, four co-19 positive patients in West Sumatra performed independent isolation. One more positive patient has died.

Nasrul also did not deny that there were differences in data related to the positive case of Corona in West Sumatra, between the results of the Indonesian Ministry of Health's Litbangkes and the results of the Unand Faculty of Medicine Laboratory. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health Litbangkes released via covid19.go.id, Corona positive patients in West Sumatra were recorded as 8 people. While from the data of FK Unand Lab, it recorded 14 people.

According to him, since being given permission to release test results on specimens of suspect corona patients, the co-19 handling task force in West Sumatra had held data from the Unand FK FK Lab. He stressed, the specimen test results in the FK Unand Lab were valid and had been accredited and certified by the World Health Organization (WHO).

"The results of the FK Unand Lab's research are not kidding because they are in accordance with WHO standards," Nasrul Abit said.

Nasrul did not want the differences in data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health's R & D with the FK Unand lab to be a long debate. According to Nasrul the main focus of the current government is to deal with the corona virus so that it can be quickly overcome and its impact can be overcome early on. ***
