PEKANBARU - The highest number of cases of People Under Monitoring (ODP) and Patients Under Supervision (PDP) in four districts. This is due to the low awareness of the people in the four regions of the danger of the corona virus.

Pekanbaru Mayor Firdaus in a press conference on Friday (3/4/2020), said that his party had been waiting for public awareness for two weeks since the adoption of a positive person who was domiciled in the Bukit Raya District on March 13 last. Observations in the field and also reports from the community, when there is something positive in the city of Pekanbaru, people's fears are good.

"But when we were told that the first positive patient was cured, we saw that the field actually increased. That is, we understood that the community considered the corona virus to be no big deal. That was our hunch," said Firdaus.

Since the first patient was announced recovering from the corona virus, the Pekanbaru community began to be monitored back and forth in Tampan District, Marpoyan Damai District, Bukit Raya District, and Tenayan Raya District. If the common thread is drawn, it is related to the high number of ODP, PDP, and corona positive cases.

"Public awareness is still low on understanding how dangerous the corona virus is," Firdaus said.

Based on data from the Department of Health today, at 15.34 West Indonesia Time, Tampan District has 161 ODP, 16 PDPs, and 2 corona positive people.

Tenayan Raya District 104 ODP, 7 PDP, and 1 positive corona person. Marpoyan District Damai 95 ODP and 8 PDP.

One person previously positive in the Bukit Raya Subdistrict has recovered. Meanwhile, ODP in Bukit Raya District 96 people and PDP 5 people.
