Tragic! After Being Shot by the Police, a Robber of 3 Kilos Gold Died Because of Corona

The tragic fate experienced by a robber who robbed three kilograms of gold in Jakarta. He died due to Corona Virus or COVID-19 after being shot by police officers.

The robber had the initials WA alias AG, he was 67 years old. He died in the Kramatjati Police Hospital, East Jakarta on Thursday 2 March 2020.

Head of Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Baarta, Commissioner Teuku Arsya said, the robber was initially shot in the leg when he was about to be arrested after carrying out a robbery at a gold shop in Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

To treat gunshot wounds, the robber was taken to the National Police Hospital. It's just that the wound condition worsened because the robber was apparently suffering from diabetes.

Since being treated at the National Police Hospital, WA has shown symptoms of being infected with the coronavirus. Arsya said that WA often coughs and constantly coughs while undergoing treatment.

After being examined by the doctor on duty, WA tested positive for COVID-19 and not long after that WA died. After being declared dead, WA's body was immediately cremated.

Although not in direct contact, the officer who had contact with the robber immediately underwent isolation.

"If the results of the swab have not yet been done, the guards and investigators who check there will be temporary isolation," Arsya said.
