Pekanbaru Mayor Instructs His Staff to Donate Some of Their Salaries to Buy PPE for Medical Personnel

PEKANBARU - The State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the Regional Government-Owned Enterprises of Pemko Pekanbaru are ordered to donate part of their salary to medical personnel who handle the corona virus. Donations from this salary will be used to buy personal protective equipment (PPE) and multivitamins for medical personnel.

"Observing the development of corona virus disease 2019 (covid-19) or the increasingly widespread corona virus in Indonesia, especially Pekanbaru City, as well as the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel, it is appealed to all state civil apparatuses (ASN) to contribute part of their salary , "said Mayor of Pekanbaru Firdaus, on Monday (6/4/2020).

All regional heads of government are asked to coordinate all ASNs in the Pekanbaru Caring ASN Movement by donating part of their salary for the availability of PPE and multivitamins for health workers.

All Pekanbaru BUMD Directors are also asked to coordinate all employees to participate and contribute part of their salary in order to fulfill the availability of PPE and multivitamins for health workers.

"The collection of donations to overcome the spread of the corona virus is received by the Regional Wealth and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) at the latest on Thursday (9/4/2020)," said Firdaus. (R24 / put)
