Inhil-Spokesperson for the Health Sector Task Force for the Acceleration of Prevention of COVID-19 Inhil District, Dr. Saut Pakpahan stated the results of rapid tests on patients indicated to COVID-19 in Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) were reactive.

Reactive in a medical perspective is often interpreted as positive. Conversely, for non-reactive results, we use the term negatively.

At present, the patient has been isolated at RSUD Puri Husada Tembilahan with the status of Patient Under Supervision (PDP).

According to Saut, the results of the rapid test were not a final decision. The final decision on the patient's status will be issued after the throat SWAB results. Because, rapid tests can be used to detect all viruses, not just coronaviruses. Rapid testing is an initial screening.

"Tonight we send Swab to Jakarta. This shows that we continue to treat patients as PDP. We do not say positive because we use SWAB results," said Dr. Saut during a press conference at the Office of Diskominfo PS Inhil District, Tembilahan, Monday (6 April 2020) evening.

Nevertheless, Dr. Saut asserted, that in Inhil Regency there was no positive Covid-19. It was said by Dr. Saut, this was reinforced by the travel history of patients who did not come from regions or cities with red zone status.

"If there are no positive results. The patient never travels in a local transmission or red zone. The patient also never contacts with positive patients," said Dr. Saut.

Starting today, said Dr. Saut, it will conduct a patient's contact history. For anyone who has had contact with a patient before, it will be determined as a Person in Monitoring (ODP).

"People who have been in contact with these patients are followed up with independent isolation at home or if they want isolation in the hospital," concluded Dr. Saut.
