This is the most dangerous celebrity on the internet in the 2017

News24xx.com -  In the early 2000s, pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne was a teen rebel icon, delivering angsty teen anthems on a regular basis.

But, she is not make much concert these days, but somehow she’s still been named the most dangerous celebrity online by cyber security firm McAfee, according to The Associated Press.

McAfee says that Lavigne is the celebrity most likely to lead people to malicious websites

On Tuesday, September 19 2017, McAfee told that searches for Lavigne were most likely to land users on websites that carry viruses or malware.

Searches for the singer reportedly have a 14.5 percent chance of directing people to website that could threaten their online security, and that number increases to 22 percent if the person is searching for her because they’re looking for free MP3 downloads.

And the report uses McAfee’s own website ratings, compared across searches with Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Last year, it was actress/comedian Amy Schumer who held the title of ‘Most Dangerous Celebrity on the Internet’, and DJ van Buuren being the most dangerous celebrity in 2015.

After Lavigne, the list of top 10 most dangerous celebrity searches consists of Bruno Mars in second place and Carly Rae Jepsen in third, followed by Zayn Malik, Celine Dion, Calvin Harris, Justin Bieber, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé.
