News24xx.com - Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Polri assigned the former Director of Operations of PT Hutama Karya (Persero), R. Soetanto as a new suspect in the alleged corruption cases of paddy fields that conducted by the Ministry of SOEs in 2012-2014, Ketapang District, West Kalimantan.


Head of Sub Directorate III of the Directorate of Corruption Crime (Dittipidkor) Bareskrim Commissioner Cahyono Wibowo said the determination of Soetanto as a suspect is the result of the development of the investigation of suspect Upik Rosalina Wasrin who is a former Head of Work Team Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in 2012.


"Dittipidkor Bareskrim has set a suspect on behalf of R Soetanto in allegations of corruption cases of rice field printing activities in Ketapang regency," said Cahyono in his written statement Friday, September 22, 2017.


He explained that paddy field printing in Ketapang District is one of the Corporate Improvement of Food Production Improvement Program (GP3K) implemented and initiated by the Ministry of SOEs in 2012, then implemented by PT Sang Hyang Seri, with an activity budget allocation of IDR 317.03 billion.


According to him, the project has spent around IDR 212.2 billion for the construction of a feasibility study and planning for the opening of 3,000 hectares of rice fields by PT Indra Karya and paddy field printing and other supporting infrastructure of 1,500 hectares by PT Brantas Abipraya.


Furthermore, the budget is also used for the work of the supervisory consultation services of paddy field opening work and other supporting infrastructure of 3,000 heltar by PT Yodya Karya and the installation of paddy fields and other supporting infrastructure of 1,500 hectares by PT Hutama Karya.


He said that the paddy field printing program in Ketapang regency was implemented not in accordance with the applicable law rules, either from the technical side of the job location, the technical printing of paddy field printing, to the technical of the procurement resulting in the state financial loss of IDR 67.9 billion.


"Investigators are still conducting further investigations related to the case in order to find and determine other parties that can be asked or subject to criminal liability," he closed.
