A woman from Hainan was beaten by delivery guy after failing to deliver food on time

News24xx.com -  One Hainan woman recently had a bad day on Wednesday, October 11 2017. Not only her food more than two hours late in arriving, but she was also then beaten by the delivery guy. The woman, pseudonymed Xiao He, ordered a meal on Wednesday evening at 6:07 pm through the popular Ele.me food delivery app. Southern Metropolis Daily reported, the restaurant was located only 10 minutes away from her flat in Haikou, so she assumed it wouldn't take long.

However, the woman mwas kept waiting for hours. She tried calling several times to inquire about her order, but each time the delivery man was dismissive and even abusive towards her. Finally, at around 8:20 pm, she went to pick up her food in person with the delivery guy saying that he would meet her outside tshe restaurant entrance. Once there, he became angry after she asked his name. Believing that she would write a negative review about him, the man grabbed his bike lock and began beating her.

Fortunately, the restaurant owner quickly intervened and restrained the angry delivery man, and the woman's friends arrived to take her to the hospital. Now, police are looking for the delivery guy with help from Ele.me who have fired their employee.
