News24xx.com -  The death of Persela Lamongan goalkeeper, Choirul Huda, also became the highlight of international football.

FIFA also expressed their condolences.


Choirul Huda, 38, passed away in Soegiri hospital, Lamongan, on Sunday, October 15 2017, after colliding with his team-mate, Ramon Rodrigues in the end of the first round of the match against of Persela vs Semen Padang at Surajaya Stadium, Lamongan.


The incident was happened when Huda tried to secure the goal from the opponent's attack, but he clashed with other Persela players, Ramon Rodrigues, and attacker of Semen Padang, Marcel Sacramento.

After the collision, Huda fell and was unconscious. The medical team responded immediately by bringing him out the field. Huda was given a respirator.


The death of Choirul Huda was a severe blow for Persela. Because, he is the captain and one of the players who only played for Laskar Joko Tingkir since 1999.


The condolences also flow from various circles. No exception FIFA as the parent organization of world football.

Through his official Instagram account, FIFA wrote their condolences about the death of Choirul Huda.


"Tragic news in Indonesia today, a goalkeeper Choiral Huda passed away following an on-field collision. Our sincere condolences to Choiral's family and his club and his fans in Indonesia.," FIFA writes and repost their caption on Persela FC Instagram account, @perselafc.


The death of Choirul Huda also became the news of foreign media, such as BBC, Marca, Washington Post, The Sun, Mirror, to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
