News24xx.com -  A video has gone viral on Taiwanese and Thai social media showing famous Taiwanese news anchor Huang "Vivi" Ruowei in an argument at a hair salon in Bangkok’s Siam Square after she refused to pay USD 7.50, because staff had used cold water to wash her hair.

Under tremendous public pressure, the famous anchor and her friend returned to the salon the next day to apologize.

However, only a few hours after they made peace with each other, the salon owner Jax Phoenix posted video on her Facebook page claiming that a massage parlor owner told her the two women had been to the massage parlor prior to their visit to the salon and had refused to pay USD 22.50 for the oil and ear massages they received.

Phoenix is quite a social media celebrity in Thailand, with over 210,000 followers on Facebook, explaining in part why this encounter so quickly made headlines on local Thai news sites.

According to Phoenix, Vivi and her friend made a big fuss at the parlor after paying only USD 15.

Vivi later told that Phoenix's accusations were untrue.

She claims that after she and her friend arrived in Bangkok, they went first to the temples, then to the hair salon, but never to a massage parlor.

She was incensed that no one from any of the local Thai news agencies contacted her or bothered to hear her side of the story.
