NASA: It turned out that Mars has a tailNASA: It turned out that Mars has a tail

News24xx.com - NASA recently revealed that the Planet Mars actually has a tail. However, the appearance of a magnetic tail behind a red planet is invisible to the ordinary eye.

So far, we already know that the Planet Venus and Earth is known to have such a magnetic tail. The difference is that the tail on Mars is more complex.

According to data that collected by NASA's Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution Mission (MAVEN) scientist, the creation of the magnetic tail also plays a role in the thin grinding of the Mars atmosphere.

Mars lost its global magnetic field millions of years ago, but some parts of the planet's surface still contain fossils of past magnetic fields.

Quoted from the Daily Mail on Sunday, October 22, 2017, Gina DiBraccio, a scientist at Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland, said: "We found that Mars's magnetic tail is the only one in our solar system. "

Since the upper layers of the Mars atmosphere contain of ions (charged particles) that flowing along the magnetic field line, the reconnection process forms a path into space through the magnetotail.

The process releases energy, like when energy is released when the stretch of rubber band that back to its original size.
