Lebanese Prime Minister resigned due to a murder plan against him

Reported from Reuters on Sunday November 5 2017, Hairi submitted his resignation in a speech broadcasted on television. He also accused Iran and Hezbollah of planning to kill him.

Hariri accused Iran and its Lebanese ally, Hezbollah, sowing disputes in the Arab world. In comments aimed at Iran, he said that the Arab world would cut off Iran's evil plans and Hezbollah.

"I want to tell Iran and its followers that they will lose the intervention in the internal affairs of the Arab countries," he said.

He said the political climate in Lebanon is the same as in 2005. Where in that year, Hariri's father was killed in a murder plan. Hariri's father is former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

"I feel there are people who want me to dead," he said.

Hariri was appointed as Prime Minister in 2016 and led a national unity cabinet that includes of Hezbollah groups. His government is considered successful to protect the country from the impact of war that occurred in Syria.
