News24xx.com - Manushi Chillar was elected as Miss World 2017. The beautiful Indian girl managed to defeat of 108 other contestants from various countries. Manushi's victory overtook the 17-year wait to win the Miss World crown in a contest held at Sanya City Arena, Sanya, China, 18 November local time.

Manushi Chillar, a second-year medical student dropping out for a year to prepare for Miss India pageant was a big risk. The 20-year-old woman, who is the 54th titleholder, represented the state of Haryana at the Femina Miss India 2017 beauty pageant. 

She had to compete with 108 contestants at a event that held at Sanya City Arena.

In question and answer round, Manushi was asked :

"Which profession deserves the highest salary and why?"

And towhich she replied, "I think a mother is of the highest respect. I don't think its just about cash, but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. Mother should get the highest respect."

1. Manushi Chhillar is a medical student of Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat, Haryana and dropped out a whole year from her education in between to prepare for her Miss India pageant.


2. Manushi Chhillar aspires to become a cardiac surgeon.


2. The idol of Manushi is Reita Faria, the first Indian and Asian to win the Miss World crown.


3. Manushi is a popular girl in her college and has many kitten.

4. For her 'Beauty with a Purpose' project for Miss World 2017, she was a part of an initiative called 'Project Shakti', where she had spread awareness about menstrual hygiene and involve of 5,000 women.


5. Manushi is fond of outdoor sports such as paragliding, bungee jumping, snorkeling and scuba diving.


6. Manushi's father, Dr. Mitra Basu Chhillar is a scientist at DRDO and mother, Dr. Neelam Chhillar is the head of the department of Neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.
