News24xx.com - Many restaurants in Pekanbaru stockpiling of LPG or subsidized gas that destined for the poor residents. That restaurants buy subsidized gas until dozens of tubes.

The effort is known by the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.

As conveyed by Head of Trade Division, Masirba H Sulaiman.

"It is true, we find several restaurants that use of 3 kg gas and buy subsidized gas from retailers and bases," he said on Monday, November 20, 2017.

Irba conveyed that the restaurant has violated the rules.

"Because there is no reason for a restaurant to use subsidized gas that is reserved for the poor residents and micro businesses," he said.

The act of buy a lot of LPG gas by unscrupulous restaurants then causes of 3 kg gas being rare.

"There should be no scarcity of gas, because the amount of stock is enough. But because the restaurant take dozens of gas, so made the subsidized gas becomes scarce, "he said.

Besides restaurant, Disperindag Pekanbaru gives sanction to sub distributor or gas station of subsidized elpiji.

"We've asked about their reason to sell the gas to restaurants. Their reason because the restaurants offer higher price to them, so they are tempted to sell to the restaurant, " he said.

The highest retail price (HET) of gas 3 kg in Pekanbaru is still IDR 18 thousand for one tube. If they selling above the price, so is considered illegal.

"We have evidence. Some people carry subsidized gas with motorbike and basket," he said.

Disperindag Pekanbaru already give a reprimand. If they still using subsidized gas, the restaurant business permit is threatened with revoked.

"We also have 17 bases that we wear scorsing sanctions are not given gas rations for a week until two weeks, "he said.

To prevent a similar occurrence, Disperindag Pekanbaru tightens their supervision. For people who want to buy gas, they must show their Copy of Family Card (KK). And for the micro business must show its micro business license.
