News24xx.com -  The Palestinian Authority announced a termination of cooperation with the United States (US).


This is as response to the US State Department decision that closes the offices of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in Washington.


The closure of the PLO's office in Washington has been criticized by a number of international organizations, including the Arab League.


The Palestinian Presidential spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeina, said in a statement that released by Middle East monitor, the Palestinian Authority took steps to cut ties with the US government as response to the closure of the PLO's office in Washington on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.


On Friday, November 17, 2017, the US State Department threatened to close the PLO's office in Washington unless the Palestinian Authority took part in peace talks with Israel.


The US government promised that the PLO's office could be reopened in 90 days if Trump believes that the Palestinian Authority has held direct negotiations with Israel.


The threat was met by the PLO Secretary-General, Saeb Erakat, who warned the United States that Palestinian officials would cut off communications with the United States if the US State Department did not renew the PLO office's license in Washington.


Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyadh Al-Malki in this week warned the US move, and saying that the move would hamper of Washington's hopes to mediating a peace deal in the Middle East.
