Business agent travel in Pekanbaru threatened will bankrupt

News24xx.com -  Business air ticket purchasing service bureau in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province threatened will bankruptcy.

This is because many consumers is prefer to buy airline tickets through applications on their mobile phones.

As stated by the Chair of the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (Asita) of Riau Region, Dede Firmansyah.

He often get complaints from members whose their ticket sales continue to decline since the appear of applications to buy airline tickets on mobile phones.

"If the focus is only to sell the plane tickets, of course it will be eroded. So we must have to find another alternative, to survive," he said on Monday, November 27 2017.

One alternative that often delivered by Dede is made creative package of tour.

"The business strategy of travel bureau must be creative in packaged tour, either inbound or surround," he said.

Some packages that promise to get big advantage ie religious tour packages such as umrah.

"To be more stable, Asita members must also open the umroh package. Because this is very potential," he said.

This is due to the long hajj departure schedule, whereas the enthusiasm of Riau's community to the holy land is very high.

In 2016, Indonesian citizens who perform umroh more than 750.000 pilgrims.

"And 30.000 more pilgrims came from Riau Province. With the duration of the queue to perform of Hajj, this becomes an opportunity for us to offer umroh package to the hajj candidates. In Pekanbaru, the queue hajj is until 2033," said Dede.
