News24xx.com -  Pakistani Taliban militants attacked the campus of an agricultural university in Pakistan.

At least 9 people were killed and 35 others wounded in the attack. Pakistani police officials say, in its conduct, the militants are disguised by wearing a burqa.

According to the Pakistani military press unit, soldiers and police deployed to the scene and have killed all attackers within two hours of the event.

The attack took place at the Agricultural Training Institute in Peshawar City. There is no mention of the number of attackers in the event.

Pakistani Taliban militant groups claimed the attack. The claim was delivered in a message delivered by his spokesman, Mohammad Khorasani.


Peshawar police chief Tahir Khan said the armed militants were disguised by wearing a burqa that women in the area often use. They opened fire and wounded a security officer before entering the campus.

A wounded student, Ahteshanul-Haq, told Reuters the university dormitory is home to nearly 400 students. But most of the students go home because of weekend breaks and only about 120 students live in the dormitory.

"We were sleeping when we heard gunshots, I woke up and within seconds everyone was running and shouting 'The Taliban attacked,'" he said.


According to Shehzad Akbar, medical director of Hayatabad Medical Complex, six people died from their injuries and 18 people were being treated at the hospital.

Three others were killed at the Khyber Teaching Hospital and 17 wounded were being treated at the hospital.
