News24xx.com -  Since last week, the US President Donald Trump will recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the US embassy to the West Bank city.

Trump will held a speech announcing the news. That news is being international spotlight. Many world leaders warned Trump for not to take that step.

Two days ago, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz has received a phone call from Trump to discuss the issue.

In their conversation, King Salman asserted if Saudi Arabia gives supports to the Palestinian people's.

King Salman assured to Trump that declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel before any deal would jeopardize the ongoing of Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations.


King Salman also said the removal of the US Embassy to Jerusalem was a dangerous move, which could have a negative effect and offend the majority of Muslims around the world and Christian too, as reported by Al Arabiya on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.


Saudi ambassador Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz, two days ago also called Washington and said several US statements about the status of Jerusalem before the final agreement would added the chaos in the Middle East region.


Prince Khalid said the Saudi Kingdom policy has been continuing to support the Palestinian people, and this has been submitted to the US government.


Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also spoke up, saying the plan of the US to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel would be a red line for Muslims.


Erdogan has also said the move of the capital will cause Ankara to cut all diplomatic ties with Israel, as reported by the Associated Press page, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Erdogan also said he would hold a meeting with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries to oppose the US plan.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has also warned the US about the consequences of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Safadi had told to the US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson about the declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel that could trigger a huge outcry in Arabs and Muslims.

Pope Francis also expressed his concern about Trump's intentions. The Pope called for the status quo to keep Jerusalem respected in order to prevent further conflict.

The Pope says Jerusalem is a holy city for three religions, Christians, Jews and Muslims, and should be kept in peace.

"I sincerely urge all parties to respect the status quo of the city of Jerusalem, according to the mandate of the UN resolution," he said, as reported by Business Insider page, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
