News24xx.com -  There was a change of name on mascot of Asian Para Games 2018. The name of MoMo was chosen to replace Ulung.

Asian Para Games 2018 will be held in Jakarta on October 8 to 16 October 2018, or a month after the Asian Games 2018.

Various kinds of socialization programs conducted by the Executing Committee (INAPGOC) to raise awareness of Indonesian society.

In October 2017, the organizing committee conducted a mascot launch at JIEXPO, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. In the launch, Elang Bondol is chosen to be a mascot named Ulung.

Ulung has the same meaning of the eagle in the Indonesian language. Ulung also has the meaning of experienced, proficient, best, and leader, and has the Ul stands mean ultimate, Un means undisputed, and NG means nation globally.

But after two months running, the name Ulung changed to MoMo. It was known after the event 2nd Journalits Games 2017 on 8-9 December.

MoMo is an abbreviation of motivation and mobility. Motivation is expected to be able to move the athletes of Asian Para Games 2018 to reach the goal of becoming champion. While Mobility means the athlete's movement to achieve goals.

INAPGOC Chairman Raja SaptaOktohari is grateful to the 2nd Journalist Games that have helped them campaigned for the upcoming Asian Para Games 2018. He hopes this togetherness can keep awake in the future.

"Through this Journalist Games we hope to support the organization of Asian Para Games 2018, also from all the people of Indonesia," said Okto in a release.
