A waterproof drone for rainy season use

The author is a company from Ohio, United States, named Phantom Rain. They make waterproof clothes for Phantom 4, which makes the drone fly when it rains.

The waterproof suit is made of synthetic rubber material called neoprene, which is also used in drysuit for divers. The use of this material in addition to protecting the drone from water also makes it slightly more protected from shocks.

This Phantom Rain-made accessories consists of three parts. The first is a 2.5 mm thick waterproof suit that covers 75% of the drone body. This is because in fact many parts of the drones that have been waterproof, so the clothes just cover the part that cannot stand the water.

The second part of the shirt is a ring that protects the rotor part of the drone, also made of neoprene. This rings protect the rotor rather absent water. The third part is called the surge mask, which covers the dreadlocks of water when the drone falls into the water.

Surge mask also protects the drone so as not to tumble when falling into the water. Because using neoprene materials, this mask surge does not inhibit the movement of dreadlock camera, as reported by Wetalkuav, on Monday December 11 2017.

It should be noted, this waterproof clothes do not necessarily make Phantom 4 can dive into the water. Rather simply protect the drones when flying in a rainy state, and when landing in the water.
