The EU will not move their embassy to Jerusalem

News24xx.com -  The EU will not replicate the steps of the US President Donald Trump who officially moved his embassy offices from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

It was said by the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

As quoted from VoA Indonesia, Mogherini's response at once denied a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is very confident if the EU will join with the Donald Trump government.

Mogherini will seek to enhance the cooperation among partners in the region, both Palestinians and Israelis and Jordan and Egypt.

Now, that more worrying for Mogherini is the rising of tensions and violence that have occurred in the Gaza Strip in recent times.

Mogherini also condemns the attack on Jews in Israel, because it will only make things worse.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in Brussels, Belgium, on Monday, December 11, 2017. He is very confident that other countries in Europe will also recognize the holy city of the three religions of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

"Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, no one can deny about it. And it does not hamper of peace in the world," Netanyahu said.

Separately, President of Russian Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Egypt, called for serious talks on the status of Jerusalem and Israeli-Palestinian disputes.

The recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by Donald Trump has sparked outrage among Muslims in the world.

Even some heads of state including President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) condemned the unilateral claim to the land of Jerusalem by the United States.
