Amid fears that he will not be welcomed very well, Donald Trump cancelled his visit to UK Amid fears that he will not be welcomed very well, Donald Trump cancelled his visit to UK

News24xx.com -  Donald Trump has confirmed that he will not travel to Britain in February 2018 amid fears that he will not be welcomed.

The US president is scheduled to visit Britain to open a new the US embassy.

But after yesterday's speculation after he had canceled the visit, he wrote on Twitter in this morning to confirm the cancellation.

Trump said that he considered to move the embassy from Grosvenor Square to Nine Elms in south London is a 'bad deal'.

He writes: "The reason I cancel my trip to London is that I am not a huge fan of the Obama Administration who has sold the best embassy in London to 'peanuts' just to build a new one in a remote location for 1.2 billion dollars. I do not want to cut the ribbon, NO! "

The United States announced its plans to move from the current embassy building in Mayfair in 2008 and the new building will open on January 16.

On the embassy's web page about the project, he said: 'This project has been funded entirely by the sale of other US Government property sales in London, not through by allocated funds. '

Last year he told to Prime Minister Theresa May that he did not want to continue his visit until the British public supported him.

Last month, the White House said it would announce details of Trump's visit to Britain.

May and Trump in November briefly fought on Twitter after Trump retwetting an anti-Muslim video posted online by the deputy leader of Britain's First Right group, Jayda Fransen.

At that time, the Prime Minister said Trump was "wrong" to retweet the video, and the US president retaliated on Twitter by saying that May should focus on radical radical terrorism in Britain, not on himself.
