A nurse allegedly ripped off the penis for a baby because of the digestive problem

News24xx.com - A nurse accused of forcibly tearing the foreskin of a baby named Leon Jude Parks, after he had health problems.

The baby's parents eventually sued Children's Healthcare of Atlanta following the incident on February 5, 2016.

A lawsuit was filed on January 10, 2018, and accused a doctor of having ordered Parks to undergo a blood test and urine using a catheter to make sure that nothing was blocking his intestines because he often vomited and the color of the vomiting was very disturbing.

When the doctor left the room, two nurses came in. "One of them removed the diaper of Parks to get a urine specimen and without gives commenting and without asking permission to do so to Parks's parent, then one of nurse tore and pulled his foreskin out from his naturally attached gland"

"This causes Jude's penis to bleed, and Jude starts to screaming, neither his mother nor his grandmother never had heard his scream like that before. No one that heard him scream like that before."

The staff allegedly having removed the infant's foreskin for such a procedure is a standard practice. They also allegedly told to Parks' mother that a baby who left uncircumcised were at risk of infection.

The lawsuit lists many medical and research journals that stress the importance of removing the foreskin from the genitals of a baby to separate from the gland naturally (a process that usually occurs about a year after birth).

The baby's parents accused the nurse of deliberately causing emotional stress on the child's mother, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta deliberately, carelessly and established policies and procedures requiring the nurse to forcibly remove the boy's foreskin.

 

The lawsuit added: 'A deliberate withdrawal from his foreskin without his mother's permission is offensive and causes him to experience pain. As a result, Jude suffers severe physical and mental pain and suffers permanent damage to his penis. "

Georganne Chapin, an executive director of the United Intact of the country's largest anti-circumcision advocacy group, said: "Many American parents and medical professionals do not know that full infant foreskin is firmly attached to the penis gland, and when it will pull, it can torture the baby and damage his penis.
