News24xx.com -  Rail workers in the state of New South Wales will strike for 24 hours in this month. This plan has potential to render of Sydney's train network service will disrupted, even more chaotic.


Labor union announced that transportation workers across the state of NSW and the Sydney metropolitan area will stop to working for 24 hours from 12:01 am on Monday, January 29 2018.


The strike plan was announced one week after the lack of train drivers, causing chaotic train schedules, as well as thousands of passengers experiencing delays for hours.


Labor union that belonging to the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) said the strike was related to corporate and employee agreement that rejected by Sydney and NSW Trains management, a carrier service.


RTBU says they want to inform the passengers about their strike action, so they can try for other travel options.


Alex Claassens from RTBU, apologizes to the passengers, but also advises: "If things get worse, you can stay home. The train will rest on Sunday night and not return on Monday," he said.


NSW Transport Minister, Andrew Constance said the strike was "extraordinary" and "the strange behavior of the labor union".

"Can someone explain to me, what has happened in the last 24 hours of this widespread action?" he said.

On Monday afternoon, January 15 2018 the train driver has announced if they will stop working overtime on January 25.

But Alex says there is "excessive feelings" among labor union, if their actions will not be strong enough to convey their message.


Labor union want them to get an annual salary increase of 6 percent, but the government rejects it and offers an increase of 2.5 percent.
