News24xx.com -  North Korea and South Korea said they would makes a parade together under the banner of "United Korea" at the opening ceremony of Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang 2018.


North and South Korea agreed to appear in a row at the February 9 to opening of Winter Olympics, said Korean Ministry of Unification said Wednesday, January 17 2018. Event of Winter Olympics will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.


This agreement is one of the results of a sudden consultation between North and South Korea that conducted since January 9 last. This is the first meeting of delegations from both countries since 2015, when tensions was peaked and North-South communications must halted.


At the second round of inter-Korean consultations in the border village of Panmunjom this week, the two sides agreed to perform together at the opening ceremony under the banner of "United Korea"


North Korea also agreed to send 550 member delegation to participate in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, South Korea.


At the first round of consultations on January 9th, North Korea did make a request to be involved in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics which will run from 9 to 25 February 2018.


South Korean President Moon Jae-In said North Korea's participation would be a good opportunity to regroup North-South relations.


Representatives of both countries also discussed the performance of ice hockey teams as a team under a "united flag" instead of appearing as two teams from North and South Korea.

An analyst says that North Korea is trying to reestablish their communications with South Korea to anticipate tougher sanctions from the United States.
