News24xx.com -  Twenty-nine of Rohingyas, 18 adults and 11 children have traveled through three countries, over 5,330km for four months, to finally reach the village of Bengal, a place that they call as home.


The village of Kuruli in Baruipur, about 45 km from Kolkata became the place for 29 refugees from Myanmar Rakhine State have settled for now, after fleeing from their homes and passing through Bangladesh.


In this village, they have built a house with two-room that made from lead, and two public toilets. They also organize of electricity, buy for cooking utensils and equipment and even, buy food and clothing for the refugees.


Before reaching the village of Bengal, they experienced many horrific events.


"Yes, for four weeks, we have lived a nomadic life for four months," said Momina Akhtar, 22, mother of three.


"But we are now optimistic," she added.


Over the past four months, it have taught them can not to make sure of anything, even if they will still life for next day.


"The villagers here are very helpful and given us for everything that we need, from food to clothing, until essential items like blankets and pullovers. It feels like our home and makes we do not want to go to back to Myanmar," Akhtar said.


That women say they were driven from their home in the village of Maungdow in the village of Segambara in Rakhine after their houses and farmland were burned by Myanmar army.


"My father-in-law was gone, I was pregnant but somehow I can to managed to walk through the woods and across the Naf river to Bangladesh, we stayed in a refugee camp for a few days before moving to India after crossing the border at Bongaon," she added.
