First in history, the sales of Apple mobile phone has slump, this is the reason

News24xx.com -  In the past year, the global smartphone market has plunged until 9% in the first quarter of 2018, and making it as the biggest decline in the history of smartphones.

In the midst of incessant Apple, Samsung, and other smartphone manufacturers to promote their flagship phone, the market demand are seems to fade away.

This is happened because the high price that set by each manufacturer of its flagship smartphone. One of mobile phone from Apple that being spotlight is iPhone X which has a price of USD 1,000.

The price of that mobile phone make number of consumers think twice to buy that phone, which impacts on the fact that Apple is experiencing a sales decline of about 1% because many consuments choose to used their old phones.

Apple also decreased the sales of their smartphone shipments by five million units compared to last year.

Looking at it overall, based on data from Strategy Analytics, global smartphone shipments in Q4 2017 are at 400.2 million units.

The number has decreased in the same period in 2016 with the achievement of 438.7 million units.

"This is the biggest annual decline in smartphone history," said Linda Sui, Director of Strategy Analytics, from The Guardian, on Monday, Februari 5 2018.

"The shrinking global smartphone shipments is due to the declining consumer demand in China, which is one of the largest markets in the world, up to 16% in the past year," Sui added.
