Participate in Governor Election of Riau, Mayor of Pekanbaru will take leave in February 15, 2018

News24xx.com -  Since following as Candidate of Riau Governor in Regional Head Election 2018, Mayor of Pekanbaru, Dr. H Firdaus, MT, will take leave as Mayor from February 15, 2018 until June 23, 2018.

The letter of leave from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has come out and received by Firdaus few days ago.

In the election of Riau Governor, Firdaus accompanied by his partner Rusli Effendi as a candidate for Vice Governor. They carried by the Partai Demoktrat and Partai Persatuan Pembangunan.

When Firdaus take leave, automatically the Vice Mayor of Pekanbaru, Ayat Cahyadi will be appointed as the executor of duties (Plt) Mayor of Pekanbaru.

"I am ready to relinquish my position by taking leave period in accordance with the Act. My leave letter from the Minister of Home Affairs has been out from 15 February 2018 to June 23, 2018," said Firdaus when met with News2xx.com, on Friday, February 9, 2018.

While following the election of Riau Governor, Firdaus is prohibited to using state facilities by Goverment. And he will move temporarily from the Mayor's house to his private home.

"I will be out from the Mayor's House before February 15, 2018. I will move to my private house on Semeru street, Pekanbaru," he said.

When asked about the performance of Ayat Cahyadi, Firdaus believed, that his deputy would be able to carry out his duties as the mayor's mayor well.
