A big asteroid will pass by Earth

A big asteroid A big asteroid - NASA says an asteroid has moving closer to Earth since five days ago, and have distance of 43,300 miles (69,700 km) and only going through the Earth.

The asteroid named 2018CB was initially seen by Catalina Sky Survey in Tucson, Arizona, a project that funded by NASA that record potentially dangerous asteroids. The distance is less than one-fifth the distance between Earth and Moon.

The space rocks measuring 15 to 40 meters are expected to be within short distance to Earth at 22:27 GMT.

Quoted from the BBC on Saturday, February 10, 2018, Manager of Earth Center Object Study for NASA, Paul Chodas said that asteroids with size like 2018 CB are rarely near to the Earth. Because it only happens in one or two years.

"2018 CB will be at a distance of 69,700 km, which is approximately double the belt of satellites that orbiting the Earth in geostationary orbit," Paul Chodas explains.
