News24xx.com - Emma Watson has donated £ 1 million or about IDR 18 billion to support those women who affected by sexual harassment.

Tom Hiddleston and Keira Knightley are among the names listed on the Go Fund Me page and they each donate £ 10,000 or about IDR 189 million.

Other donations include £ 500 from Emma Thompson, and £ 1,000 each from Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Doctor Jodi Whittaker and Noomi Rapace.

The fund has also received more than £ 500,000 from an unnamed donor.

Watson, 27, who plays as Hermione Granger in eight Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011, is reported to have a fortune of about 39 million or approximately IDR 740 billion according to the Sunday Times Rich List last year.

She was the first to speak out against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who now faces allegations from many female stars about sexual harassment and rape.

Watson have worked with Weinstein in 2011, while starring a film, My Week With Marilyn.

The 19-year-old woman seemed very uncomfortable when they had to be together at a party in Central London.


In the picture th attaken at the time, Watson was seen leaving the Mahiki nighclub in London when the 58-year-old pulled her from behind.


In a post on Twitter, she writes: "I respect to all women who have been sexually abused, and are fascinated by their courage. The mistreatment of this woman must be stopped."


In recent years, Watson has been a leading figure in championing gender equality after taking the position as Women Goodwill Ambassador for the UN in 2014


The Go Fund Me page states: 'We have created a Justice and Equality Fund, to create broad personal, social, legal and policy changes that will ensure everyone feels secure at work, at home and at home.

'Together we can end a culture of abuse, harassment and impunity'.


In addition, Jennifer Aniston, Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon each contributed £ 360,000, Kate Capshaw and Wunderkinder Foundation Steven Spielberg contributed £ 1.4 million, Katie McGrath and Star Trek JJ Abrams contributed around £ 700,000; and Taylor Swift and Oprah Winfrey each contributed £ 71,000.
